At just 11 years old, Hailey’s life changed in an instant. A tragic hiking accident left her with a severe spinal cord injury, which resulted in her being paralyzed from the waist down. She has since worked tirelessly to outweigh what she can’t do with what she can - primarily by achieving academic success. But this came at a cost. Now 18, Hailey’s sights are set on figuring out who she is outside of school and gaining more independence. But one challenge still holds her back—quick and easily accessible transportation.
Hailey’s Shine Dream for a customized lift to get her wheelchair into the back of her car and a transfer board into the driver's seat will ease her transportation barriers so she can take herself to class, meet up with friends, and experience the independence she’s been dreaming of.
